The finca

The finca works completely independently with its own energy from solar panels and its own well, as well as a sewage treatment plant. We try to live the self-catering principle, with fruit and vegetables from our own greenhouse, with our own chicken eggs, recycle as much as possible and avoid using plastic and chemicals. 

The finca is completely secluded and is located on a 7 hectare forest plot that you only share with the domestic animals, birdsong and crickets instead of street noise.

Surroundings 

The nearest town is Santa Coloma de Farmers and is about 4.5 km from the house. This is a climatic health resort with thermal baths and mineral water sources and therefore has numerous developed and signposted hiking and cycling trails e.g. former robber routes to the Mediterranean, the route of the hermit chapels or the Romanesque. There you will find a large swimming pool in addition to all shops, restaurants, banks, hairdressers. There are also golf courses nearby. The beaches of the Costa Brava such as Tossa de Mar, Lloret or Blanes are only around 20 km or 25 minutes' drive away and Barcelona is around 80 km away. We are happy to recommend destinations for activities that are not overrun by tourists but are no less worth seeing.
